Motorcycles have always surrounded Royston from a very early age, when helping with the preparation of his brother's race machinery for such prestigious events as the Isle of Man TT and National short circuit events.
  
 
Racing inevitably followed for Royston and over the next fifteen years Royston collected lap records, championships and represented Wales on several occasions as well as competing at the Isle of Man.

During this time Royston and his brother purchased a motorcycle service, repair and MOT station, which was run successfully for 5 years until his brother's untimely death. Royston continued the business as a sole trader for a further 5 years.

Realising that he'd outgrown the business, Royston began looking at other opportunities and soon accepted an offer to join the fledgling Performance Centre, a network of specialist centres established by the Motorcycle City dealer network.
 
 
The vision of the Performance Centre, headed up by TT legend Phillip McCallen, was to enable owners of high performance sports bikes to tailor their machines more exactly to their own requirements, under the expert advice and guidance of professionals.

The knowledge and experience gained here includes factory training with DUCATI, APRILLIA, HONDA, YAMAHA and SUZUKI as well as gaining a valuable insight into the workings of a major franchise network.

Royston had been at the Performance Centre some 5 years when Phillip McCallen decided to move back to his native Northern Ireland, with the express intention of establishing Northern Ireland's premiere performance centre/franchise dealership. Having witnessed first hand Royston's knowledge, skills, expertise and above all standard of quality and dedication to customer service, Phillip asked Royston to join him and help setup the workshop side of the venture.

With the setup complete and Phillip's venture up and running successfully, Royston returned home to establish his own performance centre - Royston Edwards' Performance and Service Centre - REPS Motorcycles.
